Valerian Root Extract (Valeriana officinalis) of Solgar has sedative and calming nerves. It also antispasmodic properties and is useful in cases of insomnia, tension, anxiety, irritability and muscle spasms.
Although some herbs draw attention to long-term high doses of valerian, clinical studies have not shown problems.
